Passport Services

The Post Office checks your completed paper passport application before sending it to HM Passport Office by Special Delivery, reducing the chance of it being rejected. You must fill out the physical paper application form in branch. Customers must provide 2 of their own compliant passport photographs.

• A Check and Send service fee is charged on top of the standard passport fee. Ask in branch for current prices
• Staff check your form, photographs and all supporting documents before sending
• Application is sent by Special Delivery to HM Passport Office
• Usually processed faster than posting your own application
• Child frequent traveller (50-page) passports are not available via Paper Check and Send. Use Digital Check and Send instead

A fully digital passport application. No paper form to fill in. Photographs are taken in branch by staff to the correct digital specifications, or customers may provide their own photo with a valid digital code. The application is completed on an iPad in branch by staff and submitted electronically to HM Passport Office. You receive email and text updates at each stage.

• HM Passport Office will notify you when your application is received, your old passport is received, and your new passport is dispatched
• Track your application at any time using the reference number on your receipt
• Bring your existing or most recent passport to the appointment
